Melissa Suzanne George from Australia is a model, actress and inventor. Melissa George began her professional career as an actress and model in Australia. She later relocated to Hollywood. The native of Perth George was at first interested in dance and creative roller skating. When she was in her teens, George started modeling, and was awarded in 1992 the Western Australian Teenage Model. She made her screen debut next year, in the episode of Seven Network s soap opera Home and Away . She had her big-screen debut in the crime thriller Dark City and essayed various support roles in films like Alias The Limey and Down with Love before making her debut as a female lead on the mainstream Hollywood project in the 2005 adaptation of The Amityville Horror .
